Property lookup

Public-record facts about a home, from the county assessor, and what the surrounding ZIP code looks like. Useful before you tour, make an offer or set a price.

This is not an appraisal or a valuation. We show assessor records only when the address matches exactly, and we never display owner names or mailing addresses.

We do not store the address you enter or send it to analytics.

How this is calculated

Property facts come from the county assessor’s roll, retrieved through PropData. We show a record only if its house number, street name and unit match what you typed; a near match could be a different home, so we leave it out.

Assessor market value is the value the county uses for property tax in the tax year shown. Counties reassess on different schedules and methods, so it can be well above or below a likely sale price.

ZIP figures are U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey estimates for the ZIP code area. Fair market rent is HUD’s published figure for housing programs in that area.

We deliberately do not show who owns a property, their mailing address, loan or equity estimates.
